Established in September 2000, Red Pepper Productions is headed by MA in Visual Arts Martin Danneels and Coláiste Dhulaigh graduate Laura Cranley.
Upon graduating from St. Lukas Institute in Brussels, Martin started working for Canal Plus in Belgium as a video editor. By 1995 he was producing all the American sports programming for the channel, including a weekly magazine show for which he travelled extensively in the States. In 1998 he moved to Ireland and began with TV3 as News Promo Producer and consultant on the station’s output.
While at TV3, he directed the award winning Under the Sun and directed and produced To Hell and Back, two documentaries on the world's toughest footrace, the Marathon des Sables. He also devised, directed and produced the TV launch campaign for Ireland AM, Ireland’s only breakfast programme. Martin left TV3 in 2001.
Laura moved to Belgium in 1991 and worked as an animator and video editor for Animo and Canal Plus. Her versatility as an editor and visual flair allowed her to work on both on-air promotional material and programmes for the channel. She was also involved in several station look (re)launches.
She moved back home in 1998 to worked as a news editor for TV3 but was soon put in charge of Lorraine Keane’s Entertainment slot, which she produced for 6 years. She joined Red Pepper in 2005. She is Series Director on Ó Tholg go Tolg.
